What happens if my webhook endpoint is unreachable?

Verto retries failed webhook deliveries automatically using an exponential back-off schedule.

If your endpoint returns a non-2xx response or times out, Verto marks the delivery as failed and schedules a retry.

Retry schedule Retries at: 5 min, 30 min, 2 hr, 5 hr, 10 hr, and 24 hr -- 6 retries over approximately 24 hours.

💡 Tip: Design your webhook handler to be idempotent -- it may receive the same event more than once.

If all retries are exhausted, you can manually replay failed deliveries from the Webhook Logs section.

⚠️ Warning: Ensure your endpoint responds within 10 seconds. Long-running processing should be handled asynchronously.
