What do I do if my card is lost or it’s been compromised?

If your card is misplaced or you notice unauthorized activity, you can protect your account instantly by either freezing it temporarily or permanently deleting it directly from the Verto platform.

How to secure your card step-by-step:

  1. Log in to your Verto account.

  2. Go to the Cards section on the main side menu.

  3. Click on the specific card you want to secure.

From there, you have two options depending on your situation:

  • Option 1: Freeze your card (Temporary) If you’ve just misplaced your card and think you might find it, select Freeze Card. This instantly pauses all spending. If the card turns up, you can unfreeze it just as easily and keep using it.

  • Option 2: Terminate your card (Permanent) If your card is definitely lost, stolen, or compromised, go to the card's Settings and choose Terminate. This permanently deactivates the card so it can never be used again, and you can instantly create a new virtual card to replace it.
