Why is my incoming payment showing as "Pending"?

Why is my incoming payment showing as "Pending"?

If an inbound transfer to your account is currently marked as Pending, it typically means the transaction is in progress and moving through our standard clearing steps.

Here are the primary reasons your funds may be showing as pending:

  • Funds are still in transit: The payment has been initiated by the sender, but the settlement has not fully cleared into our bank network yet. As soon as the funds arrive, your account balance will automatically update, and you will receive a notification confirming the receipt.

  • Routine compliance and security checks: To ensure the safety of your funds, incoming transfers may occasionally undergo standard checks before being credited to your account balance. These checks are routine and usually resolve promptly.

What should I do while my payment is pending?

  • No immediate action required: Our systems continuously monitor incoming transfers, and your balance will update automatically as soon as processing completes.

  • Confirm with the sender: If you need to verify the transfer details, you can ask the sender to double-check that the correct bank details were used.

  • Contact support: If it has been longer than 24 working hours since the funds were sent you can contact our support team at support@verto.co with a copy of the payment receipt and they can help to look into this.
