At Verto, keeping your funds and account details secure is our highest priority. We’ve introduced enhanced features to ensure your account remains safe without slowing down your day-to-day operations.
1. What happens when I log in from a new device or location?
When you log in from an unrecognized browser, phone, or location, our system automatically asks for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
To protect your account against email compromise, you’ll be asked to complete a two-step verification using two separate channels (such as your Authenticator app, SMS, or WhatsApp). Once verified, your device will be recognized for future logins.
Note for new users: The very first device you use when signing up or joining a team is automatically set as trusted so you can get started seamlessly.
2. How can I see or remove devices that have access to my account?
You can review and manage your connected devices at any time via both our web platform and mobile app:
Go to Settings.
Select Login Activity.
View your active trusted devices.
If you see an unfamiliar device, simply click "Sign out" next to it to immediately terminate its active session and remove its access.
3. What should I do if I get a "New Device Login" email I don't recognize?
If you receive a security email about a login you didn't initiate, click "No, secure my account" in the email.
You will be asked to confirm this choice on a new tab. Once confirmed, our system will immediately lock down access to protect your funds:
For standard team members (Approvers / Readers): Your individual account will be immediately blocked and signed out of all active sessions. Your company's primary account will remain active so rest of the team can continue working uninterrupted.
For account administrators: The system will secure your session and alert our dedicated security team and your company's Super Admin to investigate.
To unblock your account, simply contact our support team to complete a quick identity check.
4. Why can't I make certain transfers right after changing my password?
To protect your funds in the event your credentials are ever compromised, changing your password automatically activates a 24-hour security cool-off period.
During this 24-hour window, critical transactions and sensitive account modifications are temporarily paused. Once the cool-off period ends, full functionality is restored automatically.
5. What if I lose my phone and can't access my Authenticator app?
If you lose access to your authenticator app, don't worry! Your company’s Client Super Admin or our Verto Support Team can safely reset your MFA settings. Once reset, you will be prompted to link a new authenticator device the next time you log in.
