To verify your identity and protect your corporate account against identity theft, Verto requires a valid, government-issued photo identification document.
Important Document Requirements:
Accepted Formats: All identity documents must be uploaded as high-quality images in JPEG, PNG, or JPG format. Please note: Digital PDFs or scanned copies flattened via software are not accepted for identity verification.
Both Sides Required: If you are uploading a National Identity Card or a Photocard Driver’s License, you must upload separate, clear photos of both the front and the back of the card.
Dual-Use Restriction: The exact same document cannot be used to satisfy both your proof of identity and your proof of residential address.

Region-Specific Requirements
United States Residents If you are a US-based UBO of a business registered in the United States, you must verify your SSN or TIN alongside your photo ID. Please provide either:
Your official Social Security Card.
An official IRS-issued tax document displaying your Taxpayer Identification Number (such as a W-2 or Form 1040).
Mainland China
If you upload a Mainland Chinese Resident Identity Card, you must also provide a valid Chinese Passport. This is required because the Chinese identity card is written only in simplified Chinese, and we must independently verify your official English name translation.
Hong Kong & Macau
Permanent ID Cards Only: We only accept official Permanent Identity Cards (distinguished by the word "Permanent" and three stars on Hong Kong cards).
Non-Permanent IDs: Non-permanent cards are not accepted for account verification. If you hold a non-permanent card, you must provide your international passport to verify your true nationality.
Taiwan
We highly recommend onboarding with your Taiwan Passport rather than a national ID card to avoid regional calendar discrepancies. If your passport features an "AKA" (Also Known As) or legal preferred name, you must provide both your legal name and your alias during registration, as both names will undergo standard compliance screening.
