Understanding Product Eligibility

At Verto, we strive to provide your business with a comprehensive suite of international payment tools. However, because certain financial features carry higher industry risks or lower visibility into transactional transparency, we apply strict eligibility guardrails. These boundaries keep our platform safe and ensure your corporate account remains fully compliant with global financial regulations.

Why do some products have specific usage rules?

Certain services naturally attract higher levels of financial exposure. For example, features like Pay By Link make it more difficult to automatically identify where incoming funds originate. To protect both your business and our network, we restrict access to these features until a predictable, low-risk operational history has been established on our platform.

What is the eligibility for Financial Institution (FI) 3rd-Party Payments?

  • By default, all Financial Institutions (including banks, EMIs, and payment platforms) are onboarded strictly on a First-Party basis. This means you can initially only use your Verto accounts to move your company’s own corporate treasury or payroll.

  • If your business model requires using Verto to execute foreign exchange (FX) or clear payments directly for your own end-clients, you cannot simply activate this via a sales request. You must undergo and pass our specialized Downstream Approval Process.

What is involved in the Downstream Approval Process?

To qualify for nested or third-party payment flows, our compliance team must perform a comprehensive review of your firm's internal controls. You will be required to provide:

  • Details regarding your specific regulatory licenses and permissions.

  • Documentation on your current Know Your Customer (KYC) and Transaction Monitoring (TM) system providers.

  • Copies of your company's formal AML/Compliance policies alongside your most recent independent, third-party corporate compliance audit reports.

What are the activation requirements for Pay By Link?

Because Pay By Link is designated as a high-risk collection tool due to its reduced payment transparency, it is subject to operational staging. To unlock this feature, your business must satisfy two milestones:

  • Your corporate entity must possess a verified trading history of over 1 year.

  • Your company must actively maintain and utilize at least one core Verto account tier for a minimum continuous period of 90 days prior to submitting an activation request.
