You can add your Verto card to Google Wallet in a few minutes, straight from the Google Wallet app on your Android phone.
Before you start
Have your Verto card details ready. To find them, open the Verto app, go to Cards, select your card and view the card details. You'll need the card number, expiry date and security code (CVV).
Add your card
Open the Google Wallet app on your Android phone. If you don't have it, download it from the Google Play Store.
Tap Add to Wallet, then select Payment card.
Choose New credit or debit card.
Scan or type in your Verto card details: card number, expiry date and security code. If you're asked for a billing address, use the one shown in What is my card billing address?
Review and accept the terms shown in Google Wallet.
Verify your card if asked (see below).
That's it. Your Verto card will appear in Google Wallet, ready to use.
Verifying your card
Sometimes your card is added straight away. Other times, Google Wallet will ask you to confirm it's really you. You'll be able to choose one of these options:
Verify with the Verto app. Google Wallet will open the Verto app, where you'll be asked to confirm. Tap Confirm to finish adding your card.
Verify by OTP. We'll text and email you a one-time code to the mobile number and email on your Verto account. Enter it in Google Wallet.
⚠️ Warning: Verto will never ask you to share a verification code by phone, email or chat. Only enter it in Google Wallet, and only if you started adding your card yourself. |
Checking it worked
Once your card has been added, Verto will send you a confirmation by email or push notification and you should see the Verto card within the Google Wallet app.
Coming soon: add your card directly from the Verto app
From November, Android users will be able to add their card to Google Wallet with one tap from inside the Verto app, with no need to type in card details. You'll see an Add to Google Wallet button on your card on the home screen and in the Cards section.
Until then, please add your card using the Google Wallet app as described above.
Having trouble?
Check your card is active. Frozen or terminated cards can't be added to Google Wallet. See How do I freeze or cancel a card?
Double-check the details you entered, especially the expiry date and security code.
Make sure your phone has a screen lock set up and that Google Wallet is up to date.
If your card still can't be added, please contact our support team.
